Kith
Privacy & Terms
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Kith is a free personal and portfolio project that helps you keep track of the people
and companies in your network. By creating an account or using Kith, you agree to the
terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Kith is provided free of charge, as-is, with no guarantees. It is a
side project, not a commercial product or a professional service. Treat it accordingly
and keep your own backup of anything important (use the in-app "Export my data" button).
What we collect
- The email address and password you use to create an account. Passwords are stored
only as a salted hash, never in plain text.
- The information you choose to add: people, companies, roles, notes, tasks, and
contact details you type or paste in.
- Basic technical logs needed to run and debug the service.
How your data is used and stored
- Your data is private to your account. Other users cannot see it.
- Data is stored on third-party cloud infrastructure (such as the hosting provider
and managed database). Text you paste for extraction may be processed by a third-party
AI model provider to pull out people and companies.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
- Security is handled on a best-effort basis. No online service can be guaranteed
perfectly secure, so please do not store passwords, financial details, government
identifiers, or other highly sensitive information in Kith.
Your choices
- You can export all of your data at any time from the in-app "Export my data" button.
- You can delete your people, companies, and tasks within the app. To have your whole
account removed, contact the maintainer.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the information you enter, including making sure you are
allowed to store details about other people.
- Do not use Kith for anything unlawful, or to store data you do not have the right to keep.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Kith is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or
implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and availability. The maintainer does
not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never
be lost. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainer is not liable for any
direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising
from your use of or inability to use Kith. Your sole remedy if you are unhappy with the
service is to stop using it and delete your account.
Changes
These terms may change as the project evolves. Continued use after a change means you
accept the updated terms.
